Dayan and Webb – delicious and purposeful food that’s constantly evolving to make you feel valued

We sat down with Amy and Faye, the twosome behind Dayan and Webb, to hear about how their journey begun after they both took the bold jump to leave behind their corporate jobs to combine their love of cooking with their entrepreneurial drive.

Seated next to each other on the first day of Le Cordon Bleu training course, a beautifully tangible friendship blossomed, and endured. After finishing the course they continued to work together catering for Supper Club events. Their experiences helped to shape their ethos and cuisine. They refused to follow any particular diet trend and stayed faithful to the foods that they ate at home and decided to follow their own mantra – ‘life in moderation’. Like many of us, their experience of working in offices made them understand the struggle of getting foods they enjoyed eating at home into their corporate lives.

Despite finishing their training program their bid to offer delicious and exciting food makes them keen to continue their learning experience. They work closely visiting their premium suppliers to learn about the products in order to make the most of their flavour and textures. After understanding the nurture of their products, they then infuse the influence of the London food scene and culture into their dishes; picking up flavours and inspirations from across the city.

Our founder met these two at a catering event and loved what she tried. For both parties it wasn’t just about putting food into offices it was about putting good food into offices.

 

 

 

Grace Regan – SpiceBox – Taking the food industry by storm and redefining our perceptions of Indian Cuisine

 

Tech Food & Plant-based Enthusiast Grace Regan is the founder and owner of SpiceBox. Her mission is simple – ‘Use food to build a healthier future for the planet and its population’, a mantra which pulled at Feedr’s heartstrings, and we knew a great partnership would be on the table.

Grace is no stranger to business, jumping into the start up industry straight right after university, she didn’t go unnoticed. Grace was placed on the 15 young entrepreneurs to watch in 2015 and SpiceBox, her latest venture, has certainly delivered on expectations. Growing up cooking Indian food, Grace has managed to combine the nation’s favourite cuisine with our desire to eat healthily. Spicebox manages to deliver all the flavours and aromas of our favourite Indian takeaways with half the calories, no animal fats or sugar and is completely pulse and plant-based.

If the health benefits aren’t enough to draw you in, the packaging is entirely biodegradable making a SpiceBox lunch box good for you and good for the planet! This innovative fresh concept has taken the fast food industry by storm, with its dishes receiving rave reviews in Time Out. But most importantly it got the thumbs up from us!

We vet and bring together amazing vendors who have the food you want, and create solutions that make it simple to get it at work. We also make this great food more affordable by leveraging group buying power. An additional benefit of us being a marketplace is that we can leverage the collective power for positive initiatives such as waste reduction knowledge sharing and to gain scale for our one-for-one school lunch program with Indian NGP Akshaya Patra.

Food is universal, and eating together is something that people have done since the dawn of time – we want to help people reconnect with food, find easier ways to be healthy at work every day, and share that with each other. That’s why group food is at the core of what we do, and while companies are where we’re starting, we think there’s so much opportunity to spread healthier food solutions into other places…watch this space.
